Banani 11 comes alive at Rong Dhonger Utshob 1433

On the occasion of Bangla New Year 1433, Together for Bangladesh and Banani Society organized the vibrant cultural celebration "Rong Dhonger Utshob 1433" at Banani 11 Road- bringing together tradition, creativity, and spontaneous public participation in a truly unique festive gathering.

One of the main highlights of the event was the stunning Alpona painted across the road, transforming Banani 11 into a vast colorful canvas. Throughout the night, people of all ages gathered at the venue to paint Alpona, take photographs, and celebrate the Bengali New Year with joy and enthusiasm. The entire area was filled with a festive atmosphere, laughter, and a strong sense of community.

The celebration also featured cultural performances, handicraft stalls, and traditional food stalls. In the morning, the participation of Bangladesh Street Kids Aid Group added a special dimension to the event. They performed skateboarding across the Alpona-covered Banani 11 Road, which became a major attraction for everyone present.

The DNCC Administrator and the President of Banani Society were present at the Boishakhi Shovajatra, adding further significance and dignity to the occasion. The President of Banani Society said, "The Bengali New Year symbolizes joy, unity, and new possibilities within our culture. Rong Dhonger Utshob 1433 transformed Banani 11 into an extraordinary gathering of art, celebration, and community. Such initiatives keep our traditions alive and help connect the younger generation to their roots."

The organizers shared that this was the second edition of the event, and they plan to continue organizing it every year in the future. They believe that initiatives like this can spread a powerful message of culture, creativity, and social harmony in urban life.

The organizers expressed heartfelt gratitude to all the artists, volunteers, performers, stall partners, guests, and everyone else whose support contributed to the successful completion of the event.
