BUFT marks Bangla Nababarsha 1433 with  daylong cultural celebration

BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT), in association with its 24 student clubs, celebrated Bangla Nababarsha 1433 with a vibrant daylong program on April 16, 2026. The event was marked by cultural diversity, enthusiasm, and active participation from students, faculty members, officials, and distinguished guests. The program was graced by Special Guests Mohammed Nasir, Member of the Board of Trustees of BUFT, and Vidiya Amrit Khan, Vice President of BGMEA. The ceremony was presided over by Prof. Dr. Engr. Ayub Nabi Khan, Designated Vice Chancellor of BUFT, according to a press release. The daylong celebration featured a wide range of activities, including songs, dance performances, drama, sports competitions, a fashion show, flash mob performances, art and crafts exhibitions, a colorful rally, and more than 44 stalls, showcasing creativity, tradition, and entrepreneurial spirit. The event was convened by Prof. Dr. Md. Abdul Jalil, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Director of Student Welfare; Mohammad Imtiaj.

, Director of the Public Relations Department, served as Co-Convener. Afsana Sharmin was the Member Secretary, while Rakibul Islam Shifat acted as Co-Member Secretary. Advisors and deputy advisors from all 24 clubs also contributed significantly to the successful organization of the event.

The celebration created a festive atmosphere across the campus, reflecting the rich cultural heritage of Bangladesh and fostering a strong sense of unity and joy among the BUFT community. The organizers expressed their commitment to continuing such initiatives to promote and preserve the spirit of Bangla culture.
