Squash level-2 coaching course begins



A five-day level-2 coaching course, approved by the World Squash and Asian Squash Federation, has begun in the capital's Independent University, Bangladesh Army Squash Complex andBashundhara Sports City on Monday.

Max Group sponsored this elite course, which is being held for the first time in Bangladesh, with the participation of twelve level-1 coaches/players including Pakistan's Zulfiqar Ali Khan, India's Pradeep Malik, Hong Kong's Yulsan Chan, and Malaysia's Tiwan Mohan, and eight from Bangladesh.

This course -- conducted under the guidance of Malaysian coach Subrahmanyam, who holds Level-3 and special training certificates, and Iranian Level-3 coach JavedMohsin -- will be coordinated by Bangladesh's only Level-2 coach FazleWali Ahmed.

The classroom part was inaugurated at Bangladesh Independent University in the morning and the practical part at Bashundhara Sports City in the afternoon. 

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Prof Mohammad Tamim, Vice Chancellor of Independent University.

Squash Federation general secretary Brigadier General (retd) GM Quamrul Islam, senior executive director of Bashundhara Sports City Major MahasinKarim (retd) and officials of Independent University and Bashundhara Sports City were also present there.
