Two individuals, including a woman, were killed in separate train accidents in Charghat upazila of Rajshahi district.
An unidentified woman, believed to be around 35 years old, was killed after being struck by a train in Holidagachhi rail gate area under Shalua union at about 8:45 AM on Tuesday.
Later, locals found her body at the scene, but her identity could not be confirmed immediately.
In a separate incident on Monday night, a 25-year-old man named Sohag, son of Julum Pramanik from Kalabipara village in Nimpara union, died after being hit by a train in Habibpur Kalabipara area.
According to locals, he was either crossing or near the railway track when the accident occurred, and he died on the spot.
They also claimed he had been under the influence of alcohol at the time.
Railway officials confirmed both incidents, stating that police recovered the bodies and sent them to a local hospital morgue for autopsy.
Ishwardi Railway Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Ziaur Rahman said police visited both sites and that legal procedures are underway.
