99 percent police personnel are working transparently: IGP
Inspector General of Bangladesh Police Ali Hossain Fakir has said that 99 percent police personnel are working with utmost transparency and dutifulness. He laid emphasis on further consolidating internal discipline and accountability inside Police Department.
IGP Ali Hossain Fakir made the above comments on Monday (20 April 2026) while addressing a program at the Crime Investigation Department (CID) Headquarters in the capital's Malibagh.
Ali Hossain Fakir added that law and order situation across Bangladesh is currently very challenging but police force has been able to keep everything under control by virtue of professional skills and strong surveillance.
Ali Hossain Fakir stated that people's confidence on Police Department has been restored through the smooth implementation of the latest general elections. The IGP admired CID for its exclusive role in investigating crimes and identifying perpetrators.
Ali Hossain Fakir expressed hope that Bangladesh will become a prosperous and happy country rapidly with the participation of police personnel in ensuring security for all.
