Committee restructured to recommend on pay commissions' reports
The Bangladesh government has restructured the Pay Commission in order to formulate recommendations on National Pay Commission, Bangladesh Judicial Service Pay Commission and Armed Forces Remuneration Committee. The Cabinet Secretary has been made the Convener of the new committee. Other committee members are the Prime Minister's Principal Secretary, Senior Secretary, Ministry of Public Administration, Principal Staff Officer of the Armed Forces Division, Defence Secretary, Law and Justice Secretary, Secretary, Secondary and Higher Education Department, Secretary, Directorate General of Health Services and Controller and Auditor General. The above officials belonging to the newly formed committee will evaluate the reports submitted by the three pay commissions and will put forward necessary recommendations to the government.
The Finance Division has been assigned to provide necessary assistance to the above committee and the committee will hold meetings as per their requirements.
