The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has openedthethe online ticket slaes for their T20 series against New Zealand.
The series kicks off at Chattogram'sBirShresthaShaheed Flight Lieutenant MatiurRahman Cricket Stadium (BSSFLMRCS) on 27 April. The second match will be played at the same venue on 29 April. The third and final fixture of the series will be held at Dhaka's Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on 2 May.
In a press release, the BCB informed that tickets for the series will go on sale online.Spectators will be able to purchase tickets online via the BCB's official ticketing website: www.gobcbticket.com.bd.
Ticket prices have been set between Taka 150 and Taka 1,500. In Chattogram Grand Stand and Rooftop Gallery tickets of the BirShresthaShaheed Flight Lieutenant MotiurRahman Stadium will cost Taka 1,500, while tickets for the ShaheedShravan Stand and Shaheed AbuSayeed Stand are priced at Taka 500. Western Gallery tickets are set at Taka 300 and Eastern Gallery tickets at Taka 150.
Earlier, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announces the squad for the first two matches of the T20i series against New Zealand.
Experienced pacers MustafizurRahman, Taskin Ahmed and tearawayNahidRana have all been rested for the two matches. In a new-look fast bowling line-up, uncapped pace bowling allrounder Abdul GaffarSaqlain has received his maiden call up to the national team.
The 28-year-old has been noticed in recent times for bowling skills ideally suited for this format. Saqlain is also a handy batsman down the order with big hitting abilities. Right arm quick Ripon Mondal, who has impressed with his bowling at the death, has been rewarded for his consistency. The 23-year-old has played three T20 matches for Bangladesh but all in the 2023 Asian Games cricket competition.
Earlier, Bangladesh produced a commanding all-round performance to thrash New Zealand by 55 runs in the third and final ODI, sealing the three-match series 2-1 at the BirShresthaShaheed Flight Lieutenant MatiurRahman Stadium in Chattogram on Thursday.
After losing the series opener by 26 runs, Bangladesh bounced back strongly to win the next two matches, registering their third consecutive ODI series victory following successes against West Indies and Pakistan.
A superb century from NajmulHossainShanto laid the foundation for the hosts, who posted a competitive 265-8.
Mustafizur then complemented his effort with a sensational 5-43, a bowling figure that eventually dismissed New Zealand for 210 in 44.5 overs, despite a late blitz from Dean Foxcroft who hammered a six-laden 72 ball-75 with seven sixes.
Shanto struck 105 off 119 balls, hitting nine fours and two sixes, and shared a crucial 160-run partnership for the fourth wicket with Liton Das.
