EU election observation report submitted to Shama Obaed

The Chief Observer of the European Union Election Observation Mission, Ivars Ijabs, formally handed over a copy of the Mission's final report on Bangladesh's 13th National Parliamentary Election to State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shama Obaed Islam. The report was presented during a meeting with the State Minister at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday. The final report contains 19 recommendations.
The State Minister praised the continued engagement of the European Union in supporting Bangladesh's democratic journey, including the deployment of the Election Observation Mission.
She also emphasized the importance of Bangladesh's ongoing cooperation with international partners to further strengthen democratic institutions and processes. The Chief Observer is scheduled to present the report and its recommendations at a press conference on Tuesday, April 28.
