Trust Bank PLC Launches UnionPay Debit and Credit Cards
Trust Bank PLC officially launched its UnionPay Debit and Credit Cards ?on Sunday at a renowned hotel in Dhaka. The new cards were unveiled by Trust Bank PLC Chairman and Bangladesh Army Chief General Waqar-uz-Zaman, SBP, OSP, SGP, psc. Also present at the event were Trust Bank Vice Chairman and Bangladesh Army Adjutant General Major General Md. Hossain Al Morshed, ndc, afwc, psc; Nurun Nahar, Deputy Governor of Bangladesh Bank; Larry Wang, CEO of UnionPay International; Ahsan Zaman Chowdhury, Managing Director and CEO of Trust Bank; Md. Masud Raihan, Country Manager of UnionPay International Bangladesh; Trust Bank EVP and Head of Cards Md. Mustafa Musharraf and other distinguished guests.
The launch of UnionPay Card will be considered an important milestone in the expansion of Trust Bank’s global payment solutions and increasing customer benefits. With this newly launched card, Bangladeshi customers will be able to enjoy various benefits in the UnionPay network countries at home and abroad. These include seamless international transactions, payment of medical expenses, tuition fee payment, airport lounge facilities and various exclusive lifestyle benefits.
At the event, the Chairman of Trust Bank PLC and Chief of Army Staff mentioned that Trust Bank has partnered with UnionPay International to ensure an advanced and secure banking service in line with the digital era.
UnionPay Cards will ensure easy and globally acceptable financial transaction facilities for customers of various classes and professions, including Bangladeshi students, medical service recipients and businessmen. Through this initiative, Trust Bank PLC has reaffirmed its commitment to innovative banking services, customer-centric activities, and the development of the digital banking sector.
