RU Honors 16 Faculty of Arts Students with Dean’s Awards
Al-Mahmud Bijoy, RU Correspondent: A total of 16 meritorious students from 12 departments under the Faculty of Arts at University of Rajshahi were honored with the Dean’s Award for their outstanding academic achievements. The awards were presented at a colorful ceremony held at the university’s Senate Building on Monday (April 27).

The award recipients are: Atiya Sakera Sohih and Md. Alamgir Hossain from the Department of Philosophy; Latifa Khatun and Mahfuza Sultana Mukta from the Department of History; Md. Asaduzzaman Rafi from the Department of English; Sabrina Mumtaz Ripa and Poly Rani from the Department of Bangla; Mosha. Fatema Nasrin from the Department of Islamic History and Culture; Md. Mahmudul Hasan from the Department of Arabic; Umme Habiba from the Department of Islamic Studies; Anindita Alamgir from the Department of Music; Meftahun Nahar from the Department of Drama; Khairun Nahar Alo from the Department of Persian Language and Literature; Zakia Sultana and Monira Akter from the Department of Sanskrit; and Monija Akter from the Department of Urdu.

Expressing her feelings, award recipient Anindita Alamgir from the Department of Music said she was grateful to Almighty Allah for making her hard work and efforts successful. She also thanked her parents, teachers, and classmates for their constant support. She added that receiving the Dean’s Award was a moment of great joy for her.

Speaking as the special guest, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) Professor Dr. Main Uddin said that reaching success requires patience, hard work, and above all motivation. He noted that motivation helps people move forward and makes difficult tasks easier to accomplish. He described the Dean’s Award program as an inspiring initiative.

In his closing remarks, Dean of the Faculty of Arts Professor Dr. Mohammad Belal Hossain said the day was a special achievement for those who received the award and a source of inspiration for those who did not. He encouraged students who were not awarded this time not to lose hope, but to continue working hard, as perseverance leads to future success.

The ceremony was presided over by Professor Dr. Md. Belal Hossain, Dean of the Faculty of Arts. Among others present were Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education) Professor Dr. Moha. Farid Uddin Khan, Treasurer Professor Matiar Rahman, Proctor Professor Mahbubur Rahman, Student Adviser Dr. Amirul Islam, Administrator of the Public Relations Office Professor Dr. Akhtar Hossain Majumdar, former Dean Professor Fazlul Haque, along with hundreds of teachers and students from different departments.
