DU Banking Dept hosts freshers’ reception
The Freshers’ Reception for the 32nd BBA Batch of the Department of Banking and Insurance, University of Dhaka, was held on Thursday at the TSC Auditorium.
Professor Dr. Md. Shahidul Islam (Shahidul Zahid) presided over the program. Among the distinguished guests who addressed the event were Md. Fazlul Haque, Chairman of the Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority; Professor Dr. Mahmud Osman Imam, Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies, University of Dhaka; Tareq Refat Ullah Khan, Managing Director and CEO of BRAC Bank; Md. Abdul Mannan, Managing Director of Bangladesh House Building Finance Corporation; Professor Dr. Abdullah Al Mahmud, Director of the Undergraduate Programme and Convener of the Organising Committee; and departmental professor Dr. Hasina Sheikh.
During the program, 15 meritorious students from various BBA and MBA batches who achieved the highest CGPA were awarded certificates and crests in recognition of their academic excellence. The event concluded with an enjoyable cultural performance, adding colour and enthusiasm to the celebration.
