Ron Haque Sikder passes away
Ron Haque Sikder, Managing Director of Sikder Group of Companies, has passed away.
He breathed his last on Monday while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Family sources said he had been admitted to the hospital last week due to health complications. Sikder Group of Companies came into discussions and debates over the allegations of anomalies and loan scams in National Bank Limited which is owned by the Sikder Group of Companies.
Sikder Group is a family-owned Bangladeshi business conglomerate. Zainul Haque Sikder founded the group in the early 1950s, and was its chairman during his death in 2021.
Sikder Group started as a textile and garment manufacturing company. PowerPac Holdings, a sister concern of the Sikder Group, got a contract to build a power plant from the Power Development Board in August 2011.
