Immunization  awareness programs held in Dhaka, Dhamrai

On the occasion of World Immunization Week 2026, two separate awareness sessions were held in Dhamrai and Dhanmondi, Dhaka. 

The event titled "Immunization for All," the initiatives sought to highlight the critical role of vaccines in disease prevention and building a healthier society.

A special awareness session was held recently at Shailan Probeen Nibash in Dhamrai. The session was featured Dr. Kazi Saifuddin Bennur, Director of the Bangladesh Medical Research Council (BMRC) and a renowned chest disease specialist, as the keynote speaker. He emphasized the vital role of immunization in ensuring a healthy future.

Considering the importance of vaccination for individuals aged 50 and above, Synovia Pharma provided free influenza vaccines during the program. Approximately 52 residents of the senior home received influenza vaccinations. 

The event was supported by Dilruba Kabir, Chairman of Shailan Senior Citizens Home, and Dr. Faizul Kabir Khan.

The session concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Muhammad Osman Gani, Senior Regional Sales Manager, Vaccine & Oncology Division of Synovia Pharma PLC.

Another awareness session was held on Sunday at Little Heaven Daycare and Salim Wisdom School in Dhanmondi, engaging parents and teachers. Dr. Sabrina Shahnaz Rashid, Senior Clinical Staff at Square Hospital, attended as the keynote speaker.

She highlighted the importance of childhood immunization and addressed common misconceptions surrounding vaccines. Speakers at the event, organized with the support of Synovia Pharma, described immunization as one of the most effective public health interventions.

Both programs concluded with interactive discussions and Q&A sessions, where participants shared their views on health awareness and preventive care.

At the end of the events, Muhammad Osman Gani, Senior Regional Sales Manager (Vaccine & Oncology), and Tasfin Mostafa, Senior Assistant Manager (Marketing, Vaccine) of Synovia Pharma PLC, expressed their gratitude. They also encouraged participants to receive WHO-approved vaccines offered by Synovia.
