BGB seizes 100,000 yaba in Cox's Bazar


Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has seized 100,000 yaba tablets in three separate anti-narcotics operations along the Ukhiya and Teknaf borders in Cox's Bazar. 

The drives were conducted on May 4 by Ukhiya Battalion (64 BGB) based on specific intelligence and technological surveillance, according to a BGB press release. 

In Palongkhali, the BGB personnel in two drives recovered 70,000 pills from Ulubonia Majherkati and 10,000 pills from Ulubonia Paschimpara Bridge. Another operation by Whykong BOP seized 20,000 pills from the Karengaghona area. The value of the seized Yaba is Taka 3 crore.
