Bangladesh Women's National Football Team secured an impressive 2-0 victory after dominating throughout the full match with organized and attacking football.    -BFF

The Bangladesh Women's National Football Team played their first closed-door friendly football match on Monday against Kasem Bundit Women's FC in Bangkok as part of their preparation for the upcoming SAFF Women's Championship 2026.

Bangladesh Women's National Football Team secured an impressive 2-0 victory after dominating throughout the full match with organized and attacking football. Anika opened the scoring in the 15th minute, while Umehla doubled the lead in the 77th minute to seal the win for Bangladesh.

The coaching staff expressed satisfaction with the overall performance, as the match provided valuable preparation, confidence and motivation for the players ahead of the SAFF tournament. The team is scheduled to play another closed-door friendly match on 17th May 2026 as part of their final phase of preparation prior to the SAFF Women's Championship 2026.

There was no on-field training session on Tuesday as the players have been given a recovery day following Monday's friendly match. Instead, the squad participated in stretching and pool recovery sessions in the morning at the team hotel.

Earlier, the Bangladesh women's national football team safely reached in Bangkok, Thailand on Thursday evening for a two-week overseas training camp as part of the preparation for the upcoming SAFF Women's Championship.

The team is scheduled to leave for India on May 22, following the completion of the camp. Bangladesh will face hosts Maldives on May 28 and India on May 31 in their group-stage matches.

The squad includes Rupna Chakma, Mile Akter, Swarna Rani Mandal, Halima Akter, Sheuli Azim, Afeida Khandakar (captain), Surma Jannat, Kohati Kisku, Surovi Akter, Shamsunnahar (Sr.), 

Unnoti Khatun, Arpita Biswas, Momita Khatun, Maria Manda, Monika Chakma, Shaheda Akter Ripa, Ritu Porna Chakma, Umehla Marma, Sagarika, Tohura Khatun, Anika Rania Siddique, Sauravi Akanda Prity and Shamsunnahar (Jr.).
