Gofran Palash, Kalapara (Patuakhali): The court has ordered to file a case against Md. Nazmul Alam Badal Matubbar (50), a teacher of the history department of Kalapara Government Mozahar Uddin Biswas College in Patuakhali, on the charge of trying to kill Md. Mostabizur Rahman, another teacher of the same department, and causing bloody injuries to him.
On Wednesday afternoon, the court of Kalapara Senior Judicial Magistrate Md. Rabbi Islam Roni took into consideration the statement and complaint case of Nishat Tanjum Asha, the daughter of victim teacher Md. Mostafizur Rahman, and issued this order to the OC, Kalapara police station to file a case after collecting medical records. The court's bench assistant Md. Qayum and the plaintiff's lawyer Advocate Kawsar acknowledged the authenticity of this order.
Sources said that earlier on Tuesday, at around 12:30 pm, accused teacher Badal Matubbar hit Mostafizur Rahman, a history department teacher, on the head with a chair in the library room of Kalapara Government Mozahar Uddin Biswas College. At that time, when he resisted with his left hand in self-defense, the chair broke and the lower part of his left wrist was cut. After the incident, victim teacher Mostafiz was taken to Kalapara Hospital for treatment, and the doctor on duty admitted him for treatment, this information has been mentioned in the case.
The case also states that unregistered and non-MPO accused teacher Badal Matubbar used to forbid victim teacher Mostafiz from coming to the college without giving him 5 lakh taka. Badal had physically abused teacher Mostafiz before too after not getting the demanded money.
When contacted to know the statement of teacher Badal Matubbar in this regard, he claimed innocence and said that this is a conspiratorial false case against him. Which will be proven in the investigation.
Kalapara Government Mozahar Uddin Biswas College Principal Dr. Fatema Heren said, she has never been in such a situation in her working life.
Kalapara Police Station OC Md. Nazrul Islam said that after the incident, CCTV footage of the incident is being collected and reviewed from the college. Further legal action will be taken after receiving the court order.
