Former State Minister for Health and Managing Director of ACI Laboratories, Mizanur Rahman Sinha, was given a final farewell with respect and affection.
On Sunday at 11:30 a.m., Prime Minister Tarique Rahman laid a floral wreath on Sinha's coffin at the South Plaza of the National Parliament House.
In addition, National Parliament Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmed, Local Government Minister and BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Deputy Speaker Kaysar Kamal, Chief Whip Nurul Islam Moni, and Secretary Golam Sarwar Bhuiyan on behalf of the Parliament Secretariat paid their respects by offering flowers. Earlier, the Speaker, the Local Government Minister, and the Chief Whip delivered memorial speeches.
The late Sinha's son, Tanvir Sinha, expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and Speaker Hafiz Uddin for honoring his father with state recognition.
Following the speeches, Mizanur Rahman Sinha's Janaza (funeral prayer) was held, led by the Senior Imam of the Parliament Mosque, Abu Raihan. The funeral was attended by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmed, Local Government Minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Deputy Speaker Kaysar Kamal, State Minister for Local Government Mir Shah Alam, Chief Whip Nurul Islam Moni, Members of Parliament, businessmen, senior government and private officials, as well as BNP leaders and workers from Munshiganj. Mizanur Rahman Sinha passed away late Friday night while undergoing treatment at Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital in Singapore. He was 83 years old at the time of his death.
