A workshop titled “Implementation Strategies for Caregiving Training Programs” was held on Thursday at the headquarters of the National Institute of Population Research and Training (NIPORT) in Azimpur, Dhaka, under the caregiving training initiative being implemented by NIPORT with support from the Directorate of Technical Education’s Accelerating and Strengthening Skills for Economic Transformation (ASSET) Project. Distinguished guests attending the workshop included Abul Khayer Md. Akkas Ali, Ishrat Zaman, Shamsur Rahman Khan, Dr. Syeda Naoshin Pornini, and Atia Hossain.
The day-long workshop was organized for the heads of 21 Regional Training Centres (RTCs) and 14 Regional Population Training Institutes (RPTIs) operating under NIPORT. The sessions focused on practical guidance and discussions regarding short-course training management, financial management, procurement procedures, MIS management, communication strategies, gender inclusion, environmental considerations, and monitoring and evaluation.
With support from the ASSET Project, these institutions are providing a fully free three-month caregiving training program aimed at developing skilled human resources in the caregiving sector.
