As part of the celebration of the 250th anniversary of the United States, special rickshaws have been introduced on the streets of Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh.
On Wednesday, May 20, U.S. Ambassador to Bangladesh Brent T. Christensen posted photos of these special rickshaws on the Facebook page of "U.S. Embassy Dhaka" on social media.
The images show that the rickshaws have been painted in red, white, and blue, reflecting the colors of the United States national flag.
In his post, Ambassador Brent Christensen said that, on the occasion of the 250th anniversary of the United States, he inaugurated 50 specially designed rickshaws in red, white, and blue. Through this initiative, the celebration of American independence is highlighted, along with the partnership between Bangladesh and the United States.
The United States will celebrate the 250th anniversary of its independence on July 4. Various events and programs are planned across the country to mark the 250th anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of Independence in 1776.
