ASI found hanging at Bogura Police Lines
Police recovered the hanging body of an assistant sub-inspector (ASI) from the Bogura Police Lines on Friday morning.
The deceased was identified as Md Ariful Islam, 38, son of Md Ashraf of Padmabil Ghoria area under Naldanga upazila in Natore district. His BP number was 8807127485.
According to police sources, ASI Ariful Islam, who was working at the district police wireless branch, allegedly hanged himself at some point during the night while on duty at the police lines.
After the incident came to light on Friday morning, Bogura Superintendent of Police (SP) Mirza Sayem Mahmud and other senior district police officials visited the scene. Later, police recovered the body and brought it down.
