CPB President Urges Global Unity Against Fascism at Moscow Forum

Kazi Sazzad Zahir Chandan, President of the Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB), delivered a high-profile address at the 3rd International Anti-Fascist Forum currently being hosted in the Russian capital.

The global assembly has drawn significant international participation, bringing together leaders of the global peace movement alongside delegates representing more than a hundred communist and progressive political parties from 91 countries.

The forum was officially opened with a keynote address by Comrade Gennady Zyuganov, Chairman of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF) and the nation's Leader of the Opposition, who outlined the contemporary challenges facing left-wing forces globally.

Following the opening remarks, CPB President Kazi Sazzad Zahir Chandan took the stage to represent Bangladesh's progressive front, emphasizing the historic duty of democratic and left forces to resist the resurgence of authoritarian ideologies.

"The fight against fascism requires a synchronized, borderless commitment from all progressive regimes."

The five-day conference, which is scheduled to run from May 23 to May 27, centers its agenda on strategies to counter modern geopolitical threats.

A central resolution emerging from the initial sessions is an urgent, worldwide appeal to reinforce and expand organizational preparations for a unified global movement. Delegates collectively stressed the necessity of a coordinated front tasked with resisting both US imperialism and the rising global tides of fascism and neo-colonial dominance.

The forum will continue its breakout sessions over the coming days to draft a joint declaration aimed at guiding the international peace movement's strategy for the upcoming year.
