Director General of the NGO Affairs Bureau of the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), Dr. Mohammad Zakaria, and Additional Press Secretary to the Prime Minister, Atiqur Rahman Rumon, along with 15 officials, are going to China. A reception was organized at the Chinese Embassy in Dhaka on Monday (1 June 2026).
Chinese Ambassador to Dhaka Yao Wen spoke at the event. Advisor to the Prime Minister, Ismail Zabihullah, and other representatives were present at the event. Ambassador Yao said that high-level exchanges and cooperation in various fields between China and Bangladesh have been very active in recent months. The upcoming training program in China for senior officials of the Prime Minister's Office represents a further continuation and deepening of this positive momentum. Ambassador Yao urged Bangladeshi officials to gain a broader and deeper understanding of Chinese modernization practices and experiences through exchange of ideas and field visits. He also encouraged them to draw practical inspiration from what they see and learn in China with Bangladesh's own development needs and realities.
Ismail Zabihullah praised the Chinese Embassy for providing valuable training opportunities in China. He said Bangladesh is ready to deepen cooperation with China, strengthen administrative experience exchange, and elevate the Bangladesh-China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership to a new height. According to sources in the Prime Minister's Office, the delegation will return after the training on June 8. The Chinese government is bearing the cost of this training.
