Alliance Finance signs agreements with BB to support CMSME clients

Alliance Finance PLC, a joint venture Finance Company between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, has signed an agreement with Bangladesh Bank recently under the BDT 3,000 crore Cluster Financing Scheme to support CMSME entrepreneurs in Bangladesh. Under the scheme, eligible clustered businesses will receive term loans and working capital at a concessional interest rate capped at 7%, aiming to enhance business efficiency, market expansion and sustainable economic growth. 

It has also signed an agreement with Bangladesh Bank under the BDT 1,500 crore FSFDMSME Refinance Scheme to support MSME entrepreneurs through term loans and working capital, promoting entrepreneurship, cluster-based industries, sustainable economic growth and employment generation in the country. Under this scheme as well, entrepreneurs will be eligible for loans at 7% rate of interest. Nurun Nahar, Deputy Governor of Bangladesh Bank, attended the signing ceremony, according to a press release.

The signing ceremony was also attended by distinguished participants from both the organizations. 

Executive Director, Husne Ara Shikha, Director (SMESPD) Nawshad Mustafa from Bangladesh Bank, Shahanur Rashid, Head of Business, Sayful Islam, Head of SME and other representatives from Alliance Finance PLC and Bangladesh Bank were also present at the ceremony.
