Bangladesh lost to Korea in U-18 Asia Cup Hockey

Bangladesh lost to Korea by 2-1 goals in the fifth to sixth place classification round of Men's Hockey U-18 Asia Cup scheduled to be held in Kakamigahara, Japan on Friday.

Korea delivered a high-energy battle with fast-paced attacks, strong midfield duels, and solid defensive work from both sides against Bangladesh.

Korea took control at key stages with sharp passing and clinical finishing, while Bangladesh fought back with determination and created several dangerous chances that kept the match exciting until the final whistle. Kim Minseo of Korea was adjudged the player of the match.

Earlier, the boys' team began their campaign with a 4-2 win against Malaysia but later suffered a narrow 3-2 defeat to China.

Bangladesh's semifinal hope eventually dashed when they suffered a 5-2 goals defeat to Pakistan in their crucial group match.

Earlier, Bangladesh women's hockey team lost to Malaysia by 4-0 goals in the Women's U-18 Asia Cup in the 5th to 6th place classification match in Kakamikagahara, Japan on Thursday.

Bangladesh U-18 women's team lost 6-0 to Chinese U-18 team in the U-18 Asia Cup in Kakamikagahara, Japan on Wednesday.

The match between Bangladesh and Malaysia featured intense action with Malaysia taking control through strong midfield play, sharp attacking moves, and solid finishing. 

while their defense stayed tight to stop counter-attacks, leading to a confident performance from start to finish and a well-deserved win.

Malaysia's ShamsudinNurfitrah stood out with an outstanding all-round display that helped Malaysia dominate the game as was adjudged the player of the match. 

Bangladesh suffered a 12-0 defeat to the hosts, Japan's women's national under-18 field hockey team in their opening match before bouncing back with a 2-0 victory over the Chinese Taipei women's national under-18 field hockey team in Kakamigahara on Monday.
