Big crowd joined AL leader Anisur Rahman's funeral prayer
Awami League (AL) leader and former Municipality Mayor of Sreepur in Gazipur Anisur Rahman's funeral prayer was held on Monday at his own locality. Thousands of people from different professional and political backgrounds joined the Namaz-E-Janaza irrespectively. Leaders and activists from Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) also participated in the funeral prayer. Gazipur-3 Member of Parliament (MP) Professor Dr. Rafiqul Islam Bachchhu attended the Janaza prayer. A special monajat was conducted for the eternal peace of the departed soul of Anisur Rahman (65). The participants of the Janaza prayer sympathized with Anisur Rahman's bereaved family.
Anisur Rahman died while undergoing medical treatment at a private hospital in Uttara, Dhaka. He was suffering from kidney disease and cardiac complications for a long time. Anisur Rahman's younger sister Rashida Khatun (62) also passed away yesterday upon hearing her brother's death news.
