Special Olympics World Games Santiago countdown begins
Special Olympics World Games are going to be hosted in Chilean capital Santiago from 16 to 20 October 2027. The 500 days countdown for this event is going to start from 10 June 2026 for mentally challenged players, unified partners, coaches, sports organizers, volunteers, guardians and sports journalists, according to a press release received on Tuesday.
A team consisting of 67 players will be contesting in the Special Olympics World Games 2027 from Bangladesh. 33 Bangladeshi athletes, 6 partners, 16 coaches and 7 officials will be joining the tournament, the press release added which was signed by Faruqul Islam, National Director, Special Olympics Bangladesh.
