Lal Sabuj Unnayan Sangha, a voluntary organization run by the tiffin money of students in Daudkandi upazila of Cumilla on Thursday organized a discussion meeting and oath-taking ceremony at Shahidnagar M.A. Jalil High School in the upazila.
During the oath, the students of the school showed red cards to drugs, smartphone addiction, child marriage and juvenile crime.
Chaired by Shahidnagar M.A. Jalil High School's Ad Hoc Committee President Khandoker Arif Hossain (MBS), the event was attended by the school's founding member Taslim Ahmed, the school's Headmaster (acting) Md. Shahjahan, the organization's founder and central president Kawsar Alam Sohail, the school's parent member Khandoker Arif Ahmed, former enthusiastic member Mohiuddin Khan, education enthusiast Rimon Khandoker, Lal Sabuj's Daudkandi unit joint organizing secretary Mehedi Hasan Maruf and among others. The program was moderated by Lal Sabuj's central organizer Farid Bhuiyan.
Later, Kawsar Alam Sohail, president of the organization, took an oath to the students to build good character and prevent drugs and juvenile crime.
It is mentionable that the organization has been working on social awareness of students in 64 districts for the last 15 years. All the members of the organization are students of various colleges and universities. They are working voluntarily across the country to make students aware by saving their monthly tiffin money.
