Agricultural technology fair begins in Kamalganj
A three-day agricultural technology and nutrition fair has commenced in Kamalganj upazila in Moulvibazar aiming to promote modern farming practices and raise awareness about food security and nutrition.
Moulvibazar-4 (Sreemangal-Kamalganj) MP Mujibur Rahman Chowdhury inaugurated the fair on upazila agriculture office premises as the chief guest.
Financed by Flood Reconstruction Emergency Assistance Project (FREAP), the event has been organized by the Department of Agricultural Extension, Kamalganj. Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, MP Mujibur emphasized the importance of technological advancement in agriculture.
He said that such fairs play a vital role in educating both farmers and the general public about modern agricultural practices and the nutritional value of food.
Upazila Agriculture Officer Jayanta Kumar Roy, Agricultural Extension Officer Sandipana, Moulvibazar BNP Convener Md Durud Ahmed, Patanusha UP Chairman Mohammad Oli Ahmed and Kamalganj Press Club General Secretary Md Ahmeduzzaman Alam, among others, were present on the occasion.
The fair showcased various types of agricultural products and agricultural machinery. The agricultural fair will run for three days from June 12 to 14.
