The National-Level Quiz Competition, National Cyber Drill, Closing Ceremony, and Prize-Giving Event organized on the occasion of Safe Internet Day 2026 by the National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA), with the support of the ICT Division, have been successfully concluded. A series of programs were undertaken to raise cybersecurity awareness, promote safe internet usage, and enhance cybersecurity skills among students, youth, and organizations responsible for managing Critical Information Infrastructure (CII). As part of the Safe Internet Day 2026 campaign, a nationwide activation program was conducted through ICT Officers at “School of Future” institutions across all 300 parliamentary constituencies of the country.
The campaign included the distribution of awareness leaflets, cybersecurity awareness sessions, seminars, and discussions focusing on safe internet practices, online security, and preparedness against cyber threats. A total of more than 6,000 students from across the country registered for the competition. Subsequently, on 16 May 2026, regional cybersecurity quiz competitions were held at 17 regional venues across the country in two categories: Junior and Senior. From each venue, five winners were selected from the Junior category and five from the Senior category, resulting in a total of ten winners per venue. These winners advanced to the national-level final competition.
