Syed Abdul Hadi receives special honorific memento
Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy awarded a special honorific memento to celebrated singer Syed Abdul Hadi at a program organized on Friday. Cultural Affairs Ministry sponsored this event. A documentary on Syed Abdul Hadi’s life and musical career was screened during this program.
Cultural Affairs Minister Ali Newaz Mahmud Khayyam and the Prime Minister’s Adviser Zahed Ur Rahman attended the event. Cultural Affairs Secretary Kaniz Mawla presided over the program.
Shilpakala Academy Director General Rezauddin Ahmed Stalin gave the welcome address. Syed Abdul Hadi humbly said “I don’t know to what extent I deserve this honour. I have always made the best of my efforts to love my country through my songs. I would like to urge everyone to love Bangladesh from the core of their hearts.”
The audiences highly admired Syed Abdul Hadi’s songs and melodious voice with which he entertained the country’s people for several decades.
