Bangladesh, UK reaffirm commitment to stronger ties

Bangladesh and the United Kingdom on Monday reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation in trade, investment, development, education and climate action.

The commitment was reiterated when British High Commissioner to Bangladesh Sarah Cooke paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister's Adviser on Foreign Affairs Humaiun Kobir at his office in Tejgaon, said a press release. 

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the existing state of Bangladesh-UK relations and discussed a range of issues of mutual interest, including trade and investment, development cooperation, education and climate change, reports BSS.

Kobir highlighted the longstanding friendly relations between Bangladesh and the United Kingdom and expressed optimism that the partnership would continue to deepen in the coming years.

The British High Commissioner reaffirmed the United Kingdom's commitment to broadening cooperation with Bangladesh across various sectors and strengthening bilateral engagement.

The two sides expressed their resolve to maintain close cooperation and further advancing the longstanding ties between the two countries.
