Feedback workshop on LPP held in Bogura
A feedback workshop on Local Preparedness Plan (LPP) was held in Bogra by the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) under the initiative of ‘Local Government Covid-19 Response and Recovery Project (LGCRRP).
The workshop, organized at a convention center in the city on Thursday, June 18, 2026, was attended by Mir Shahe Alam MP, State Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives. Member of Parliament Md. Rezaul Karim Badsha, Rajshahi City Corporation Administrator Mahfuzur Rahman Riton, Bogra City Corporation Administrator MR Islam Swadhin, LGED Additional Chief Engineers Golam Azam and Malay Kumar Chakraborty. Project Director NSM Zillur Rahman presided over the workshop.
Speakers at the workshop said that LGED is playing an important role in enhancing the capacity of local government institutions, coping with disasters and ensuring sustainable development in the post-COVID-19 era. Emphasis was placed on ensuring public participation in the formulation and implementation of plans at the local level. In this, LGED project officials highlighted various aspects of local preparedness planning and the opinions of the participants were taken.
