Dinesh Trivedi scheduled to present credentials to President on Thursday
Newly appointed Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Dinesh Trivedi is scheduled to present his credentials to President Mohammed Shahabuddin on coming Thursday, according to diplomatic sources.
Earlier, Dinesh Trivedi handed over copies of his diplomatic documents to Bangladesh Foreign Ministry Chief of Protocol M Zahid Ul Islam on Saturday. Dinesh Trivedi called on Foreign Secretary Asad Alam Siam on the same day.
Dinesh Trivedi arrived in Bangladesh on 5 June 2026 by road. He is the first Indian politician to represent India in Bangladesh as a High Commissioner in the diplomatic history of the two countries.
