Famed woman entrepreneur Selima  Ahmad no more

Founding President of Bangladesh Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry Selima Ahmad breathed her last on Sunday. Her death has cast a shadow of shock and sadness on the entire business community of the country. Selima Ahmad's visionary role in advancing women empowerment, bolstering women's business enterprises and driving forward Bangladesh's economic progress is admired by dignitaries from all professional backgrounds. She was 65 at the time of her death.

Selima Ahmad was a Member of Parliament and a noted member of Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI). India-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IBCCI) President Abdul Matlub Ahmad is her spouse.

Selima Ahmad's far sight and dedication inspired a great deal of women in implementing their dreams to stand on their own feet with prestige. Her departure for the world hereafter resembles the fall of a brilliant star which lighted up millions of people's life across Bangladesh and upgraded women's confidence and social esteem profusely.  

Business leaders have wholeheartedly expressed profound condolences at Selima Ahmad's demise and offered prayers for the eternal peace of her departed soul.
