OIC Delegates Meet Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan

As part of the ongoing preparations for the Third Ministerial Meeting of Heads of Anti-Corruption Law Enforcement Agencies of the Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), scheduled to be held on 27 and 28 October 2026 in Baku, a delegation from the OIC General Secretariat, headed by Youssef Bin Mohammed Al-Dubeay, Assistant Secretary-General for Political Affairs, paid a visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan, during which it met Kamran Aliyev, Prosecutor General of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Sunday (21 June 2026). 

During the meeting, both sides emphasized the necessity of strengthening cooperation among OIC Member States and supporting efforts aimed at consolidating Islamic solidarity. 

The Prosecutor General also praised the role played by the OIC in serving the causes of the Islamic world, reiterating Azerbaijan's appreciation for the Organization's supportive stances towards the Republic of Azerbaijan. 

The Prosecutor General reviewed the ongoing preparations for Baku to host the Third Ministerial Meeting of Heads of Anti-Corruption Law Enforcement Agencies of the Member States of the OIC. 

For his part, His Excellency the Assistant Secretary-General for Political Affairs conveyed the greetings of His Excellency Mr Hissein Brahim Taha, Secretary-General of the OIC, emphasizing the Organization's appreciation for the active role played by the Republic of Azerbaijan in supporting the Organization's objectives and strengthening solidarity among Member States. 

His Excellency also welcomed Azerbaijan's hosting of the 16th Islamic Summit Conference in 2027, expressing his confidence that this summit would contribute to strengthening joint Islamic action and addressing the challenges facing the Islamic world.
