Pakistan High Commissioner to Bangladesh Imran Haider paid a courtesy call on the Prime Minister's Defense Adviser Brigadier General (Retd) Dr. A K M Shamsul Islam yesterday to discuss bolstering bilateral military cooperation between Dhaka and Islamabad.
The high-level meeting, which included a three-member Pakistani delegation, was held on Sunday afternoon at the Defense Adviser's Office at the Armed Forces Division in Dhaka Cantonment. According to an official media note, the two sides held comprehensive discussions on existing bilateral relations and explored various areas of mutual strategic interest.
A key focus of the meeting was the enhancement of military-to-military cooperation, expanding joint training programs and regularizing the exchange of professional expertise between the defense forces of Bangladesh and Pakistan.
Strategic analysts note that this courtesy call is expected to significantly deepen defense affiliation and expand long-term friendly relations between the two countries in the coming years.
