The Development Committee of the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) has emphasized on increasing mutual communication between the clubs of the Bangladesh Football League (BFL) for the sake of the country's football. In addition, various important issues were discussed with a view to organizing the next season's BFL league.
The discussion was held at a view-sharing meeting of the Development Committee at SKS Tower in Mohakhali, the capital, on Saturday) afternoon. BFF Vice President and Development Committee Chairman Md. Naser Shahriar Zahedi presided over the meeting. BFF's other two Vice Presidents Sabbir Ahmed Arif and Fahad Karim were present at the time.
BFF Executive Committee Member Zakir Hossain Chowdhury, General Secretary Imran Hossain Tushar, members of the Professional League Management Committee and Game Development Committee were present. In addition, representatives of 10 clubs participating in the BFL were also present in the meeting.
In the meeting, Naser Shahriar Zahedi requested for increased communication between the clubs of the Bangladesh Football League for the sake of the country's football. In addition, the chairman of the development committee also highlighted the importance of cooperation and exemptions between the clubs to ensure the participation of age-based team players in various international competitions. The meeting discussed various important issues to organize the next season's league smoothly. BFF reiterated its commitment to work in coordination with all stakeholders to ensure a competitive and disciplined football season.
Along with this, the meeting discussed the residential training camps of the Bangladesh age-based team and participation in various international competitions. In addition, discussions were held on player exemptions for the age-based national team.
Representatives of all the clubs expressed their opinions on this. They also informed the federation about the challenges they would face during the season if players were released. Representatives of each club also participated in spontaneous discussions on the club's field crisis financial problems, and lack of sponsorship.
At the end of the meeting, BFF Vice President Nasser Shahriar Zahedi said, "We actually work in a very sincere atmosphere. If we maintain this, we will be able to take Bangladeshi football further forward."
He also said, "Along with that, there are talks about school-level football. And we are going to take measures to start district-level football very soon."
However, there was no detailed discussion on the BFL's 2026-27 season schedule and the first player registration window.
The league's schedule and registration window will be discussed at the Professional League Management Committee meeting, a BFF official said.
