Massive Irregularities alleged in Bhaluka road work
In the Bhaluka road HBB and soil renovation project in Mymensingh, 3 UP members named Md. Liton, A. Razzak and Parul Akhter and Upazila Project Implementation Officer Mohidul Islam have been accused of massive irregularities.
Upazila Project Implementation Officer Mohidul Islam has admitted to the allegations of irregularities.
Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Iqbal Hossain has said that necessary action will be taken if the allegations are proven.
Investigation revealed that the money allocated for soil renovation on the road passing by Hijlipara Government Primary School in Dakatia Union of the upazila has been withdrawn and the project has been completed, although there is such information on paper, no renovation of the said road has been done.
On the other hand, on paper and pen, the road from the house of Hossainpur Razzak member of the same union to the house of freedom fighter Nahar Ali was supposed to be flat-soled/HBB with bricks, after visiting to the site, more than half of the work on the road had not been completed.
Coincidentally, the president of the two projects is UP member Md. Liton and the general secretary is UP member Parul Akhter. According to both of them, UP member A Razzak was associated with them.
Despite the fact that the work on these two projects, which were passed during the last interim government, has not been completed, the project president has already withdrawn the bill.

Parul Akhter, the general secretary of the two projects, said that although he signed the papers of the two projects adopted for the development of the area, she did not sign the bill papers later due to irregularities in his association with Razzak member.
And the Upazila Project Implementation Office is not able to reconcile the bill.
Although Liton member could not give time due to illness to inspect the two roads on site, Razzak member himself took a motorcycle to show the HBB road next to his house. When asked about the incomplete work on more than half of the road, he could not give a good answer.
Later, Razzak member called Liton member on his phone, but Liton member could not give a good answer either.
When asked about the issue from Upazila Project Implementation Officer Mohidul Islam, he first took a few days. When Reporter went to his office again after the time had passed, he said that he had renovated a school field with the money from the soil renovation project. In response to the question whether he could use the money allocated for the road for renovation of the field, he admitted that there had been some irregularities here. On the other hand, when asked about the incompleteness of the HBB road, he said that he would resolve the issue by inspecting it on site next week. If the work is not done properly and Parul Akhter does not sign and coordinate, then if necessary, he will write a letter for refund.
In this regard, Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Iqbal Hossain said that the project implementation officer is responsible for supervising these issues. If there is any irregularity, the officer assured that action will be taken as per the rules.
