Cumilla BARD observed Nat'l Rural Development Day
Bangladesh Rural Development Academy (BARD) Cumilla on Monday observed the National Rural Development Day-2026 with a series of events, including a colorful rally, a discussion meeting, and distribution of tree saplings. The programme began with a rally from the BARD campus that marched through different roads of Cumilla.
This year's theme was: "Developed Villages, Prosperous Nation -Bangladesh First."
The program was presided over by BARD Director (Training) Mr. Abdullah Al Mamun. Director (Administration) Irene Parvin and Joint Director and Rally Committee Convener Kazi Sonia Rahman along with other faculty members were present on the occasion. BARD officials and employees from all levels, trainees of basic training courses, teachers and students of BARD School and beneficiaries of various practical research projects participated in this program. The program was moderated by Mr. Faruk Hossain, Assistant Director (Sports) and Member-Secretary of the Rally Committee. Through this event on National Rural Development Day, BARD's commitment to sustainable rural development, environmental conservation and dissemination of research results among the people was reaffirmed.
