Teen boy hacked to  death in Sarail

A 16-year-old boy was hacked death by unidentified miscreants on Friday night (July 10) in Sarail upazila of Brahmanbaria district.

The incident took place beside the Dhaka-Sylhet highway near Khatihata highway police station in Purbo Kuttapara area under Sadar union of the upazila.

The deceased was identified as Jihad, son of Ajgar Ali, a resident of Purbo Kuttapara area. A panicky situation has created after the brutal killing of the young boy. 

Police and locals said Jihad's father Ajgar Ali was catching fish in Purbo Kuttapara area beside the Dhaka-Sylhet highway. As Jihad was going to his father, unidentified miscreants hit him with sharp weapons and fled the scene.  Local people recovered Jihad in a critical condition and brought him to Brahmanbaria General Hospital where doctors declared him dead. Md Manzur Kader Bhuiyan, officer-in-charge of Sarail police station, said, "Three units of police have been working to nab the culprits."
