Bangladesh opener Tanzid Hasan Tamim said the comfortable batting conditions and a crucial opening partnership paved the way for his side's seven-wicket victory over Zimbabwe in the third and final ODI.
He added that the win would boost the team's confidence ahead of the T20I series.
Tanzid was named Player of the Match for his fluent 94 as the knock was instrumental in chasing down Zimbabwe's 199, in just 36 overs.
The opener said he enjoyed batting on a surface that offered more value for stroke-making than in the previous two ODIs.
"I'm happy because the wicket looked very good. When I went in to bat, the ball came on nicely," Tanzid said after the match.
"In the previous matches there was a little more bounce, but today the ball came on much more evenly."
The left-handed opener, who shared a match-defining 151-run opening stand with SoumyaSarkar, said the partnership was key to Bangladesh's successful chase.
"They bowled really well, so we knew we needed a big partnership to win this match," he said.
Tanzid believes the victory, which helped Bangladesh avoid a series sweep after losing the first two ODIs, will provide valuable momentum before the three-match T20I series.
"This win will give us confidence ahead of the T20I series," he added.
Opener TanzidHasan struck 94 runs as Bangladesh trounced host Zimbabwe by seven wickets on Saturday in a dead rubber one-day international in Harare.
Zimbabwe had clinched a winning 2-0 lead in the three-game series two days ago with a 13-run victory after taking the opener by 25 runs.
The tourists won the toss and bowled Zimbabwe for 199 with WesslyMadhevere (75) and Brad Evans (50) the only batters delivering significant knocks.
Bangladesh then reached 200-3 with 84 balls to spare. It now switches its focus to a three-match Twenty20 series in Bulawayo, starting on Wednesday. Before the ODIs, it lost a one-off Test.
Madhevere fell when his top edge was held by MehidyHasanMiraz in the covers. Evans was also punished for a top edge, caught by Tanvir Islam at fine leg.
Quick Shoriful Islam (4-44) was the pick of the Bangladeshi bowlers. His victims included opener Ben Curran (2), a centurion in the second ODI.
After failing in the previous ODIs when chasing a win, Bangladesh made no mistake at the third attempt as Tanzid and SoumyaSarkar (69) put on 151 runs for the opening wicket.
Zimbabwe used seven bowlers without success until Sarkar was bowled by Tanaka Chivanga in the 28th over.
Tanzid fell just six runs short of a second ODI century, caught by Evans at long on. His knock included three sixes and eight fours off 101 deliveries.
