Bogura Press Club recalls July uprising martyrs, injured
Bogura Press Club arranged a discussion recalling discussion on the martyred, injured of July uprising at Press Club in Bogura on Saturday noon. President of Bogura Press Club Rezaul Hasan Ranu presided over the whole programme and the programme was conducted by General Secretary of the club Kalam Azad. The programme was started with recitation of holy Quaran by Journalist Ferdousur Rahman and then once minute silence was kept by the members for recalling the martyred of July uprising'2024 in Bangladesh. Speakers were Abdur Rahim Bogra, Mirza Selim Reza, Shafiqul Islam, Sabur Shah Lotus, Abdur Rahim, Insan Ali Shek, Kalam Azad, Rezaul Haque Babu, Abul Kalam Azad, Mostafa Moughal, Mamun-ur-Rashid, Sanaul Haque Shuvo, Aynul Islam and others. Speakers said that they should remember the martyred and injured of July uprising in 2026 which is called second freedom war. The young students and several class people took part in the uprising and achieved success when the political figures could not find any way out.
No way to forget the July fighters as they sacrificed their bloods and life to make discrimination-free society and equality for the people irrespective of the class, colour and position.
They also urged the speed of the cases in the court on the 17 martyred in Bogura district so that they can see the punishment of the killers as soon as possible.
They also sought the initiative of the press club to honour, remember the families of martyred and injured of the July fighters during July uprising in Bogura and coordinated effort should be taken by all the journalist forgetting the identities and background of the journalists in the district.
