Mamun Hasan made Bangladesh Jute Corporation Chairman

The government has made new contractual appointments to 12 important state agencies, boards, and corporations. Among them, Md. Mamun Hasan has been appointed as the Chairman of the Bangladesh Jute Corporation.

In addition, new appointments have been made to several top positions, including the post of Additional Secretary at the Election Commission Secretariat.

The information was announced through 12 separate notifications signed by Md. Golam Rabbani, Deputy Secretary of the Contract and Foreign Recruitment Branch of the Ministry of Public Administration, on Thursday (23 July).

According to the notifications, Md. Salahuddin Sarkar has been appointed on a contractual basis, with the rank of Grade-2, as the Director General of the Bangladesh Workers' Welfare Foundation.

Other appointments include:

* Mohammad Rashedul Haque as Managing Director of the Bangladesh Overseas Employment and Services Limited (BOESL).

* Mohammad Mosaddek Hossain Bulbul as Chairman of the Bangladesh Forest Industries Development Corporation.

* A.T.M. Abdul Bari Danny as Chairman of the Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC).

* Md. Kamruzzaman (Kamruzzaman Dulal) as Executive Secretary of the Bangladesh National Social Welfare Council.

At the same rank, the following appointments have also been made:

* Abdul Khaleque as Chairman of the Bangladesh Steel and Engineering Corporation.

* Md. Shamsuzzaman (Suruj) as Chairman of the Bangladesh Sugar and Food Industries Corporation.

* Kazi Rawnakul Islam (Tipu) as Managing Director of the Bangladesh Climate Change Trust.

* Md. Zakir Siddiqui as Chairman of the Bangladesh Handloom Board.

* Benazir Ahmed as Chairman of the Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC).

* Md. Mamun Hasan as Chairman of the Bangladesh Jute Corporation.

Meanwhile, Md. Shamsul Alam has been appointed on a one-year contractual basis as the Additional Secretary of the Election Commission Secretariat.

The notifications state that all the appointed officials will serve on contract for one year from the date they assume office. Before joining, they must relinquish any involvement in other professions, businesses, or affiliations with any government, semi-government, private institutions, or organizations.
