BNP delegation holds meeting with Democracy Internationa

A delegation of ruling BNP held a meeting in Dhaka on Friday with Democracy International (DI), which has been providing technical assistance in Bangladesh to strengthen democratic practices and the organizational capacity of democratic institutions.

The meeting reviewed the progress of activities related to enhancing the party's organizational capacity and strengthening internal democratic practices, and held detailed discussions on future courses of action, said BNP media cell. 

BNP Chairman's Adviser and the Prime Minister's Public Administration Affairs Adviser Md Ismail Zabihullah led the BNP delegation comprising Mymensingh District Council Administrator and BNP's Joint Secretary Syed Emran Saleh Prince and BNP Training Affairs Secretary ABM Mosharraf Hossain.

Democracy International Chief Aminul Ehsan, Senior Director Lipika Biswas and Senior Manager Md. Rabiul Islam attended the meeting.

With support from the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), DI has been providing technical assistance in Bangladesh to strengthen democratic practices and the organizational capacity of democratic institutions. It works in four core areas in international development: Politics, Governance, Peace & Resilience, and Learning.
