BGMEA University awards certificates, hosts job fair
BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology (BUFT) hosted the inauguration of the 3rd Intake, the certificate award ceremony for trainees of the 1st and 2nd Intakes, and a job fair under the BUFT-SICIP Program on Saturday, 25 July 2026, at the BUFT Auditorium, according to a press release received yesterday.
Faruque Hassan, Chairman, Board of Trustees, BUFT, attended the program as the Chief Guest, while Professor Dr. Engr. Ayub Nabi Khan, Vice Chancellor (Designate) and Advisor of the BUFT-SICIP Program, presided over the ceremony. The ceremony was graced by the presence of several distinguished guests, including Riaz Bin Mahmud, Member of BoT, BUFT; Additional Secretary Syeda Amina Fahmeen; TIM Zahid Hossain, Advisor, Shin Shin Group; Professor Dr. Md. Alamgir Hossain, Acting Pro VC of BUFT; Rafiquzzaman, Registrar, BUFT; Maureen Karim, Deputy Secretary, AEPD (PM-3) SICIP; and Mainul Hasan, DEPD (FM).
The program was also attended by BUFT deans, Public Relations Director, DSW, academic and administrative heads, faculty members, officers, students, government officials, and industry representatives, underscoring the strong collaboration between academia, industry, and policymakers in promoting skills development and employment opportunities through the BUFT-SICIP initiative, the press release concludes.
