IFIC Bank holds awareness campaign to promote cashless Bangladesh

As part of Bangladesh Bank's initiative to promote a Cashless Bangladesh, IFIC Bank PLC organized an awareness campaign on Bangla QR at Baitul Mukarram Market and its surrounding areas in Paltan, Dhaka, to promote digital payment awareness among merchants and customers.  

As part of the campaign, the IFIC Bank Bangla QR Booth was inaugurated with a balloon launch at the Baitul Mukarram Market premises on Saturday, according to a press release.

Following the inauguration, a rally was held around the market, while live QR payment demonstrations were conducted to educate merchants and customers on the convenience, speed and security of cashless transactions through Bangla QR.

The program was attended by Syed Mansur Mustafa, Managing Director of IFIC Bank PLC. Also present were Md. Monitur Rahman, Deputy Managing Director & Chief Information Officer and Helal Ahmed, Chief of Branch Business & Head of Operations. 

Among the distinguished guests were Md. Nasiruddin Gazi, Vice President of Baitul Mukarram Business Group and Md. Imtiazur Rahman Chowdhury Mizan, General Secretary of the Baitul Mukarram Leather Traders' Association, along with local business leaders, senior officials of the Bank and customers.

Speaking at the event, Syed Mansur Mustafa, Managing Director of IFIC Bank PLC, said:
