US President Donald Trump's Special Envoy for South and Central Asia and newly appointed United States Ambassador to India, Sergio Gor, arrived in Dhaka on Thursday for a series of high-level meetings aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation between Bangladesh and the United States.
Upon his arrival at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, Gor was received by US Ambassador to Bangladesh Brent T. Christensen. He previously served as Director of Presidential Personnel at the White House before being appointed to represent U.S. interests as Ambassador to India and Special Envoy to the broader region.
