Giant Group accomplishes futsal tournament
Giant Group successfully concluded its inter-company corporate futsal tournament, Giant Cup 2026, at Bashundhara Sports City, bringing together employees from across the organization to foster teamwork, collaboration, and a stronger corporate culture, according to a press release received on Monday.
Hosted by Ashaab Adeeb Hassan, Director of Giant Group, the tournament was organized through the collective efforts of the company's top management, mid-level management, and employees.
Three teams participated in the competition: Head Office (HO), Giant Textiles Ltd. (GTL), and Mavis Garments Ltd. (MGL). The tournament commenced with the opening ceremony on July 26, followed by group-stage matches held on July 26, 28, and 29, before culminating in the final between Head Office and Mavis Garments Ltd.
Mavis Garments Ltd. (MGL) emerged as the champions, while the Head Office (HO) team finished as the runners-up.
The event was graced by Feroz M. Hassan, Chairman of Giant Group; Faruque Hassan, Managing Director of Giant Group, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology (BUFT), and Former President of BGMEA; Amena Feroz, Sharmeen Hassan Tithi, S. M. Majedur Rahim, and Mr. Azfar Ankon Hassan; Mushfiq M. Hassan, Managing Director of Texmart; Tanzila Shirin, Chief Stylist of Texmart; Shammin Sultana, Lecturer at Begum Badrunnesa Government Girls' College; and Nameera Shamma Rahim.
