Sarah Cooke exchanges views on relevant issues with Finance Minister
British High Commissioner Sarah Cooke assured the Bangladesh Finance Minister about extending all necessary cooperation for further expanding bilateral ties between London and Dhaka during a meeting on Tuesday. -AA

British High Commissioner to Dhaka Sarah Cooke had a meeting with Finance Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury yesterday in the capital Dhaka city to exchange views on Britain's support for economic and financial sector reforms, international climate finance and speeding up Bangladesh's economic wheels.

Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury thankfully recollected Britain's longstanding alliance with Bangladesh during last 54 years and he stated that Bangladesh always strives to sustain Westminster's Democracy. He called upon Sarah Cooke to encourage England's business owners to invest in Bangladesh's industrial sectors and to import Bangladesh's readymade garments. Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury highlighted the gigantic role being played by expatriate Bangladeshis working in the United Kingdom and sending valuable remittances to Bangladesh.

Sarah Cooke assured the Bangladesh Finance Minister about extending all necessary cooperation for further expanding bilateral ties between London and Dhaka. Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury admired Britain's assistance in the prevalence of sound and solid equal rights and socioeconomic justice all over Bangladesh.

Both Sarah Cooke and Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury talked about exchanging visits from business delegations from both countries to explore potentialities in the fields of development programs, education, manufacturing plants, healthcare services etcetera.
