The High Commission of India in Dhaka has received complaints that fraudsters are contacting individuals while falsely claiming to be officials of the High Commission and offering visas or other consular services in exchange for money.
Officials of the High Commission will never contact you by phone, WhatsApp, social media, or email to offer visa approvals or to demand payment. All visa applications are processed strictly in accordance with the prescribed procedures.
If you receive any such phone call, message, or offer:
Do not make any payment.
Do not share your personal or financial information.
Immediately report the incident to the High Commission of India, Dhaka by emailing [email protected], including the caller's phone number, screenshots, or any other relevant information.
The Indian High Commission, Dhaka urges everyone to stay on high alert to avoid deception.
